Shipping LPA Fiber Optic Front Sight for Mossberg Shockwave 500 590 Shotgun This listing is for one brand new Fiber Optic front sight for any Mossberg shotgun that comes with a 5-40 threaded brass bead front sight, including the 500, 590, and the Shockwave. This sight will NOT fit on all Mossberg shotguns. The body of the sight is made of steel, and the thread is 5-40. Make ABSOLUTELY SURE your shotgun front sight is 5-40 thread before you buy this! NO RETURNS on this item. It is YOUR responsibility to verify that your shotgun has 5-40 threads. If you do not have a 12 gauge 500, 590, or Shockwave, I cannot guarantee this sight will fit. I suggest you either look it up on the internet, or buy a 5-40 threaded screw from the hardware store to positively confirm. This sight is currently on my 12 gauge Shockwave, but it may not fit on other gauges, or any shotgun with a ribbed rail, so I have heard. If you drill and tap your sight hole for 5-40 threads, then you can use this sight. These LPA sights come in Red, Green, and Yellow. All of the colors are bright, but the Green sights are the brightest to the human eye, just like a green laser appears brighter than a red laser. This listing is for ONE front sight, in the color of your choice. These are NOT tritium (glow in the dark) night sights. These are fiber optic daytime or low light sights. Installation instructions: Dry fit the sight in your shotgun by hand, and make note of where the sight bottoms out, and the nearest sight position which is aligned with the barrel. Be very careful to not cross thread the sight. Remove the sight, and apply one drop of blue thread locker to the threads. Re-install the sight, this time stopping at the previously discovered nearest aligned position. Be careful not to over-tighten the sight. If the sight is bottomed out and it isn’t aligned with the barrel, go BACK to the nearest aligned position. Do not try to go past bottom to the next position, or you risk stripping out the sight, your barrel, or both. By bidding on this item you are agreeing to all of the terms and conditions listed below.
