Listing is for a Vintage 2002 Corgi Forgotten Heroes, Korean War Series, US Army M16 Quad .50 Caliber Machine Gun Motor Carriage, 1:50 Scale, Die-Cast Metal, Mint, NIB, Ltd. Ed. M16 half-track was standard US Army Quad .50 caliber antiaircraft vehicle used following Normandy invasion and used as well in the Korean War. This 1:50 scale replica of a US M16 Quad .50 caliber Half-track used by US Army during Korean War 1950-1953. M16 Quad .50 Caliber Halftrack model dimensions are 5 inches length and 2 inches width, and it has a brown camouflage color. Like other Corgi Forgotten Heroes vehicle series, M16 Quad .50 Caliber half-track has been “muddied” to give it a more weathered appearance. M16 Quad .50 Caliber half-track is a drab olive green with muddied front fenders and toe winch. Highly detailed with rotating and elevating Quad .50 Caliber machine gun turret, and moving tracks. Comes with Limited Edition Certificate showing it is #336 out of a very limited #1,710 issued. These Korean War M16 Quad .50 Caliber half-tracks are Rarely listed on eBay.M16 half-track was standard US Army Quad .50 caliber antiaircraft vehicle used following Normandy invasion with every armored division having an AAA Weapons Company with eight M16s. Often M16s were used to protect key sites dumps from enemy air attack. By end of war general absence of Luftwaffe meant that M16s were used in a ground support role. Nicknamed “meat chopper,” M16 was famous for its effectiveness against low-flying aircraft and infantry, making it extremely popular with soldiers. 2,877 M16 Quad .50 Caliber Halftrack were produced.
