Hello and welcome to my auction! Here we have an incredible blast from the past. A Towncraft Penneys henley surfer sailing yacht shirt! What a cool mashup! I love the 1960’s. I grew up in LA and spent my youth at the beaches in SoCal. This shirt was put away years ago, and I recently found it. The label also says Machine Washable in Lukewarm Water Elastic Waistband Size 38-40. More of a small now. It has white piping around the collar and button placket. It has 3 fake MOP buttons. Not sure what the fabric is…mostly cotton I would guess, but perhaps a blend because the label says elastic waistband, but I don’t know what the Elastic Waistband is referring to. Perhaps, when it was new, it was tighter at the bottom? I forget.There is a white ships wheel or helm symbol on the left chest. It’s super soft. In perfectly worn in condition. There is a tiny hole 1/8” on the lower left back. I’ll leave it to someone else with better sewing skills than me, to fix it.
