PLEASE read bottom RED notes BEFORE bidding! “TJ’s Original COLT 1911 SERIES ’80 TO ’70 CONVERSION SHIMS ©” (Frame Slot Fillers™) These copy-written © parts were invented & designed by “TJ” of “TJ’s Custom Gunworks” in 1985 and mass produced since 1987; and have been helping shooters improve their 1911 trigger mechanisms with crisper and smoother trigger pulls for decades! EBAY NOTICE: “TJ’s Original COLT 1911 SERIES ’80 TO ’70 CONVERSION SHIMS ©” name and design is legally owned by “TJ’s Custom Gunworks” aka ebay ID “old_honorable_ways”, and a “2-hole spacer plate” is trademarked ® by “TJ’s Custom Gunworks”. This is the part you would need if you wanted to remove the “firing pin block” (extra safety device on Colt Series ’80 & ’90 & 1991A1) After you remove the plunger & spring from your slide, and remove the 2 actuating levers from your 1911 frame, you install this “shim” (Frame Slot Filler) (spacer plate) into the gap that the 2 removed actuating levers created; if you do not fill that gap, your sear will walk into that gap and lock your entire trigger mechanism. *I have created a basic instructional web page to help with installation of these conversion shims. These parts fit 99.99% of all Colt 1911 Series ’80 & ’90 & 1991A1, as well as most Para Ordnance / ParaOrd, they will also fit most Sig Sauer 1911’s, Dan Wesson 1911’s, and most other 1911’s that have incorporated the firing pin block mechanism similar to Colt. (Kimber does not use this same design) The original parts (Colt) have a thickness of .057″, and most other 1911’s follow that size, but if you want a snugger fit, I also offer these in .060″, .065″ and .030″. I will ship only .057″ unless you specifically request a .060″ size at checkout. (.030″ & .065″ listed elsewhere, see my other ebay auctions) I make NO WARRANTY OR CLAIM as to fit, function, or usability These are made & designed to be fit by QUALIFIED GUNSMITHS ONLY !
